After almost a decade working for well-established local firms; Addison has decided to make the exciting transition to solo-practice. 

Within his first year of practice in Colorado, Addison was ranked as one of the “Top 10 Under 40” Family Law Attorneys by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. He regularly handles complex family law matters including high-asset divorces and complicated custody cases. Addison is experienced in handling spousal and child abuse cases, including pursuing and defending civil protection orders (i.e., restraining orders). 

Although Addison excels in litigation and has a significant track record of success, he is equally proud of his ability to achieve fully negotiated resolutions where the facts and circumstances merit an out-of-court resolution via Mediation.

Addison also enjoys complex legal analysis and working in Appeals. In fact, one of the first appeals he worked on involved an important jurisdictional question on a paternity case, and the Opinion was published as People in the Interest of G.C.M.M., 477 P.3d 792 (Colo. App. 2020). Addison’s success has continued in filing and defending appeals from the District Court trial divisions to the Colorado Court of Appeals, as well as formal Reviews of Magistrate’s Orders. 

While Addison enjoys using his expertise to aggressively advocate for his clients in the Courtroom, he will never be one to escalate conflict for the sake of conflict. At the same time, he is always prepared to address conflict head-on as a courtroom advocate. 

Addison's personal experience with Divorce and the actual practice of co-parenting give him a unique perspective and empathy for clients going through what can be the most trying time in their lives. As a parent in a joint custody arrangement, Addison brings a “kid-first” approach to each of his parenting cases especially where the “best interests of a child” standard guides the Parties and the Court.
